Christmas in NY
30/Dec 2016
For Christmas this year we travelled to New York to visit with Tim’s family.
It’s always good to see them (we don’t get to see them enough). After doing all of the Christmas-y stuff, Jamie, Sean, Lisa, and I, all went in to NYC for a couple of days in the city. What a blast!
It was a whirlwind tour. We packed as much as we could into the short time we had.
We stayed at Club Quarters Hotel which is opposite Rockefeller Center. The location was great, because it was right in the middle of things. However, that made for lots and lots of people! I think I preferred staying a bit further south.
Lisa got her (albeit short-lived) dream of ice skating in Rockefeller Plaza. Unfortunately she had a little issue with friction (lack thereof, rather) and didn’t get to skate very much. We also went to McFadden’s down near Grand Central. The bartender was suprised to see actuall McFadden’s at the bar. Jamie and Lisa convinced the manager to sell them some t-shirts. Woot!
