Camping in Wyoming
We went on a multi-day camping trip for the first time in a long time.
We went on a multi-day camping trip for the first time in a long time.
June brought us to the Gulf Coast. It think it was the first time we’ve ever been there (at least for me).
After spending time with Jodie and Nico, we drove back to New Orleans for some debauchery.
We took another trip to Napa Valley, California. I don’t care what Disney says… Napa is “the happiest place on Earth”.
For Christmas this year we travelled to New York to visit with Tim’s family.
For our second time to Central America this year (crazy, right?), we went to Costa Rica for another wedding! Who knew we had such cool friends?
In January we took our first trip to Central America ever. We went to Guatemala (Antigua, to be exact).
Here are a few of our pictures from our trek. We learned that there’s really no way to capture the majesty of the landscape that is the Himalaya. We tried, though.
UPDATE: 6.5 days after we left Kathmandu, it was struck by a terrible earthquake. Our thoughts go out to everyone. We were very lucky to leave when we did. Please donate what you can to the people in need.
Jamie and I spent 3 weeks in April tackling one of the top treks in the world: Mount Everest Base Camp. This encompasses 77 miles over 11 days and about 9,000’ in elevation gain (all the way to 17,600’).
We took a quick break from our daily lives to attend a wedding in Sayulita, Mexico. Katie Lee, Jamie’s cousin, was married to Jeff Sterett on the beach on 12/13/14.
Jamie ran in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon! She did the 1⁄2 marathon (13.1 miles) in 02:09:08! Jamie saw her running buddies; Tim tried to stay inside w/ Phill and Autumn
Jamie and I spent the first week of August in Cancun. It was our first time to Cancun, and we really enjoyed it! As usual, our “let’s just relax” trip turned in to “oh, I guess we did a lot” trip… happens every time.
When we bought a new camera for Jamie, we made sure it took video as well. It’s pretty standard these days.
I finally got around to figuring out what to do with (I’m a photograph person myself). Anyway, here are a few videos from our trip to Africa.
For those that don’t know, that’s “Hello, how are you?” in a South African dialect called Sesotho. We know this because a college student we met
Jamie and I flew back to New York for Christmas again this year. As always, we had a great time. The worst part about the trip was that we didn’t get to spend much time with my Dad. He was in the hospital for about a week. He’s out, which is good
A couple of weekends ago Jamie and headed to Omaha for Jamie’s cousin’s wedding. Amy McQueen and Chris Hruska were married on August 8th, 2009.
It was a great weekend. They had
On July 18, Jamie and I hiked another 14’er. We were talking with our good friends, Mike and Katie, who decided they wanted to do one to. It was Mike’s second 14’er, technically
We decided to take our first cruise in March. We looked at a bunch of different options, and we decided to maximize our week with a 6 day cruise with 4 ports.
This past weekend Jamie and I traveled to Ft. Dodge, IA, to celebrate her dad getting married to Sharon.
We’ll be posting pictures soon, but I just wanted to get this little gem up.
A couple weeks ago Jamie and I went to Mexico for spring break. We had a blast!
Back in January we headed to the Phoenix area to visit friends and family.
When we were in Kona, HI, we did a most excellent night dive with a wild Manta Ray (you can read more about it here). Our friend, Maryjane, took some video. I’ve posted
Jamie and I went to Monarch a couple times this year. Great ski area… always great snow. Here’s a quick video
Jamie and I flew to Long Island to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We had a great trip, albeit a short one. We flew in on Wednesday and out on Saturday. Since I started my new job I don’t have any time off… we were sad we couldn’t stay longer.
Over Labor Day weekend, Jamie and I travelled to Lake Okoboji, IA. There was a big Lee family reunion. We had a great time spending time with Jamie’s family at the lake.
Our friends are going to Hawaii in October. We were bummed because we had already gone in May and didn’t think we could get away with another week in Hawaii. Well guess what? We managed it! We’re very excited.
You see, we had lots of miles accrued. What better way to use them? To make it an even sweeter deal
Wow… that’s all I can say. Ok, I can say more, you’re right. Hawaii was incredible. We stayed on Kauai for 7 days. It was great. We did lots and lots of stuff. Really, we didn’t have much downtime ( which I think is unfortunate ).
We coolest thing we did, as far as I’m concerned
Well, I finally took a break from playing my shiny new Playstation3 to work on the photos from our trip to Austin.
A couple weekends ago Jamie and I drove down to the Phoenix area to visit some friends and her Dad in Apache Junction, AZ. We had fun seeing everyone.
Jamie and I spent the end of December in New York to spend the holidays with Tim’s family.
For Thanksgiving this year we travelled to Omaha, NE, and Fort Dodge, IA. We had a great time in both states!
George Greene cooked one mean Thanksgiving dinner.
We went back to Mexico last week. We had a great time!
We were a bit apprehensive at first because it was our first time staying in our timeshare (Villa Del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta). We were not disappointed! The resort is beautiful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo (that could sleep 4). The bedroom had a 5 piece master bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. There was marble everywhere. The patio was incredible with a nice big marble table, chairs, and a chez lounge. We had a great view of the resort and the ocean.
Well, we’ve had a busy holiday season!
For Christmas, we drove down to Apache Junction to visit with Jamie’s Dad and his girlfriend. Jim bought a trailer home with plenty of room for him and his horses. Apache Junction is an interesting place. It’s population is unbelievebly old white people, heh. It’s a cool place if you ever get the chance to visit. Although you might not want to believe someone if they tell you everyplace has a fish special every Wednesday night. shrugs
Wow... what a trip. Jamie and I just got back from a trip to the Pacific NorthWest. It was a blast. We went to Seattle, Yakima to see Jodie and Nico, and to Portland to see Paul and Leisa.
We enjoyed Seattle a lot. The weather wasn't too bad either! It was a bit humid though.

"What do all these numbers mean" you ask?
Jamie and I spent last week relaxing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at the RIU. It was a very nice end to my Master's Degree. ATMEL shut down for the week and Jamie had spring break, so we had to take advantage of it while we could! I actually missed the last week of classes for me, but it wasn't a very big deal.
