Thanksgiving
2/Dec 2013
We had quite the Thankgiving trip this year. We started out on Saturday driving to Ft. Dodge to visit with Jim and Sharon. We spent a few days visiting and eating well. On Wednesday, we drove to Omaha to catch a flight to New York. We celebrated Thanksgiving with my mom and dad, brother and sister-in-law-ish, and a couple of nephews. Lisa cooked a great meal and my mom cooked some great dessert. Once again, we ate well.
On Friday night Jamie and I took out my mom and dad and aunt Sissy for dinner. We went to Smokin’ Al’s BBQ in Massapequa Park. Once again, we ate well.
Saturday brought us back to Omaha in time to celebrate Laura’s first grandchild’s baptism (Isabella). On Sunday, George and Christine fed us Thanksgiving leftovers and we were on our way back to Colorado Springs. After breakfast, we did not eat well (so hard on the road).
All in all it was a great trip. We’re exhausted, and happy to get back to life. We’ll be able to rest in a couple weeks after our Christmas party ;)
