Back from Hawaii

Wow… that’s all I can say. Ok, I can say more, you’re right. Hawaii was incredible. We stayed on Kauai for 7 days. It was great. We did lots and lots of stuff. Really, we didn’t have much downtime ( which I think is unfortunate ).

We coolest thing we did, as far as I’m concerned, was get our PADI Open Water Scuba certification. We’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now. I’m glad we did. We did 2 dives from the shore ( Koloa Landing ) which were alright, but they were nothing great. We did most of our skills there. The next two dives we did from the boat. The first stop was Sheraton Caverns. We saw lots of fish, eels, corral, etc. The next dive was Turtle Bluffs. Normally, we’d see lots of turtles there. We only saw one. We almost saw a shark but I guess another diver scared it away.

Here are the highlights:

Scuba certification with Seasport Divers Frozen Mai Tai’s at Keoki’s Paradise Helicopter tour of the island with Island Helicopters Kayaking the Wailua River + hike to Secret Falls with Rainbow Kayak Tours 2 hour surfing lesson on Poipu Beach Sightseeing Waimea Canyon Hiking the Hanakapi’ai trail to the beach Spouting Horn Sailing the Na Pali coast with Captain Andy’s Adventures
The whole trip was incredible. We’ll definitely head back to Kauai at some point. There was lots of stuff that we just didn’t have time to do.

We have a ton of pictures from the trip. Lucky for you, we narrowed down the 600+ photos to a more manageable amount. 160 to be exact. Again, lucky for you, the pictures are broken up into different galleries.
