Christmas 2006

Jamie and I spent the end of December in New York to spend the holidays with Tim’s family.

We had a blast spending time with everyone, especially our nephews.

We went into NYC one day. Jamie had a plan to see the tree lit up at night ( we had been there before during the day… not so dramatic ). After we saw a play about Physics ( see “Strings” if you can ) we had a bite to eat. We asked our friend John, native of Brooklyn mind you, if they kept the tree lit all night. “I can’t see why not” said John ( honestly, I thought the same thing ). After a brisk walk down to Rockefeller Plaza we arrived around 12:30am to see that, in fact, they do turn the tree off at night! Bummer. I feel so bad for Jamie. Maybe next time. In case you were wondering, the tree turns off at 11:30pm. All was not lost, however. I got a pretty cool shot of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The rest of our time was spent with family/friends: mainly eating ( not a bad thing! ) or doing work on Sean’s house.

We have a picture gallery up at our SmugMug site ( click here ).
