August Update
11/Aug 2004
The mono didn’t take hold nearly as much as I’d feared. I actually got better soon after the last update. Probably three weeks in all. I never got the fatigue either, which was very pleasant.
Well, with mid-August brings me back to school. I took the last 1⁄2 quarter off. I’m sure going back’s going to be rough. I’m also taking a half quarter off in the fall. The setup pushes two classes into my third calendar year. That means that I’ll get another $3k from my employer to pay for tuition! Yay! Then I’ll be done. Looks like the end of March, 2005, is when I’ll graduate with my Masters of Science in Computer Science.
Jamie’s doing well. She recently started her job in the school system (Colorado District 20). She’s very excited. The school district is very unique in the way the teach children (not that Jamie will be teaching persay). She’ll once again be working with special needs children as an Occupational Therapist. Much to my dismay she’s keeping her job at both Memorial Hosptial and Q.S. (home care), albeit in a diminished capacity. She also ran in the Race For The Cure on Sunday (I didn’t run because of my recent bout with mono). Good for her. Not much else to report. The weather here in Colorado Springs has been a bit drab, lots of rain for a change. That’s great news though, considering Colorado’s past history of fire and drought.
